QUICK RECIPE OVERVIEW
Why you’ll love my Apple Cider Vinaigrette
This simple, homemade vinaigrette comes together in minutes with pantry staples. It's fresh, versatile, and easy to adjust to your taste—perfect for leafy green salads, roasted vegetables, and hearty grain bowls.
What Makes It So Flavorful?
Apple cider vinegar and fresh lemon juice create a bright, tangy base, while Dijon mustard adds depth and helps bring the dressing together. A touch of honey or maple syrup balances the acidity, and fresh garlic adds a savory finish.
Helpful Tips
Make it creamy: Whisk in a teaspoon of tahini for a slightly creamier texture.
Change up the flavor: Add a pinch of dried oregano, thyme, or Italian seasoning for an herby twist.
Try it beyond salads: Use as a finishing drizzle over roasted Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, or quinoa bowls.
Apple Cider Vinaigrette
MAKES
5 SERVINGS (2 tablespoons each)
Ingredients:
⅓ cup extra-virgin olive oil
¼ cup apple cider vinegar
1–2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons honey or pure maple syrup
1 garlic clove, finely minced
¼ teaspoon sea salt
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Combine the ingredients. Add the olive oil, apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, Dijon mustard, honey or maple syrup, garlic, salt, and pepper to a small jar with a tight-fitting lid.
Shake until blended. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 20–30 seconds until the dressing is well combined.
Taste and adjust. Add the remaining tablespoon of lemon juice for extra brightness, or a little more honey or maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter dressing.
Serve and enjoy. Drizzle over your favorite salad, grain bowl, or roasted vegetables.
Recipe Notes
Storage: Store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. The olive oil may solidify when chilled, so let the dressing sit at room temperature briefly and shake well before serving.
Make it your own: Start with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and adjust the sweetness and acidity to your preference. For a milder vinaigrette, add a little more olive oil.
