QUICK RECIPE OVERVIEW
Why you’ll love it
A refreshing blend of fruits, greens, and nutrient-rich seeds that provides fiber, antioxidants, vitamin C, and plant-based omega-3 fats. A simple way to add more nourishing plant foods to your day.
What Makes It So Flavorful?
Sweet pineapple, juicy orange, and banana soften the earthy greens, while crisp green apple, cilantro, and fresh lime create a bright, refreshing finish.
Helpful Tips
Use frozen banana and pineapple for a naturally chilled texture. Ground flaxseed blends more smoothly than whole seeds, while hemp hearts add a subtle nuttiness without changing the flavor.

Recipe Notes
Greens & Cilantro: Baby spinach keeps the flavor mild, while kale provides additional fiber and nutrients. Fresh cilantro adds a distinctive herbal freshness; start with 1 tablespoon if you prefer a milder flavor.
Hemp Seeds: Hemp hearts provide plant-based protein, unsaturated fats, and minerals, including magnesium. Their mild, nutty flavor blends easily into smoothies.
Ground Flaxseed: Adds fiber and plant-based omega-3 fatty acids (ALA). Use freshly ground flaxseed or store ground flaxseed in the refrigerator to maintain freshness.
Natural Hydration: Unsweetened coconut water provides potassium and a touch of natural sweetness. Substitute filtered water for a lighter option.
Protein Boost: Add plain Greek yogurt or protein powder for a more substantial breakfast.
Meal Prep: Portion the greens, cilantro, and fruit into freezer-safe bags. Add coconut water, hemp hearts, ground flaxseed, and fresh citrus when ready to blend.
Storage: Best enjoyed fresh. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight glass jar for up to 24 hours. The flaxseed may thicken the smoothie as it sits; shake well before drinking.
